Résumé

A indústria de games passa por uma migração do modelo de produto para o de serviço, o que redefine formas de produção e consumo típicas de seu ecossistema midiático. Essa metaformofose depende do emprego de táticas persuasivas que se inscrevem nas interfaces gráficas. Para abordar esse processo, este trabalho seleciona como objeto as microtransações e elementos de jogos de azar na plataforma Roblox, no intuito de investigar sua atuação no modelo de jogo-serviço. Demonstramos, com um método que mescla mapeamento da interface e aplicação de tipologia de jogos de azar, que o modelo em questão depende de táticas que tornam compulsórios parâmetros de jogos de azar e da gamificação.

Doutor em Comunicação pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (PPGCOM/UERJ). Professor permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (PPGC/UFPB). Realiza pesquisa na área de concentração de games, cultura digital e dinâmicas produtivas e políticas da indústria de jogos.
