Conceptual trend for Automated Journalism

This article aims to identify research trends on automated journalism and understand the definitions used for the term. Bibliometric analysis and descriptive analysis of the term are carried out in articles published in the Scopus and Web of Science databases between 2018 and 2022. Trends are analyzed quantitatively in 313 articles focusing on indicators: temporality; production by countries; areas of knowledge; connections and co-occurrence of keywords; main authors. Definitions are qualitatively evaluated in 12 articles based on the axes: nomenclature; news writing; productive routines; use of data and use of AI communicative technologies.
