The article utilizes Cultural Studies theories in the field of communication, where we advocate for a procedure capable of examining how cultural meanings and patterns are disseminated through audiovisual media, combining cultural-mediatic analysis and textual analysis as proposed by Casetti and Chio (1999). Anchored in Cultural Materialism, the methodological apparatus examines how cultural meanings take shape in audiovisuals. We conclude that such a protocol proves effective, as it combines both text and cultural context to comprehend the construction of meanings.
