Abstract

Diversity and fragmentation are the characteristics often pointed in the travails of definition of communication field. This article argue that the lack in the epistemological trough make inappropriate in good part of ours studies about the history of the field and, on the other hand, the lack in the historical purpose is one of illusion source for conception to the field is too many large and diversified and characterized by variety.
