The aim of this paper is to articulate the political meaning suggested to the Brazilian independent production, at the end of the 1970, to the cultural and political context of the sixties and seventies. The hypothesis is that that connotation is closely related to the development of cultural market in Brazil and the political commitment of musicians to the post-war nationalism. In the following pages is demonstrated that the political character of independent record production can be understood as a result of these processes.Downloads

Conflicts of interest and research ethics

The copyrights belong exclusively to the authors.
