Abstract

The present text aims to characterize the different types of use Comics Tattoos and verify the potential of significance. To achieve these objectives, the research used techniques such as in-depth interviews and documentary analysis, on the basis of the Peircean semiotics. The interviews and analysis confirmed that are various ways to use character as tattoo, which are defined by reason of the history that want to say. While appropriating of the communication and entertainment industry´s images, the tattoo artist and the tattooed person establish agreements between the rules that guide the appropriation and reproduction of the comics’ characters’ images and the conventions and habits connected with the tattoo usage and the tattooing practice.
