Abstract

This paper discusses the TV series Dexter, produced from 2006 by the American company show time to reflect on the construction of the main character, from the production of meaning stigmatized around the concepts of order and that monstrosity permeate the ideals of common sense. In the series, now in its fourth season, Dexter Morgan is a hero different, full of ambiguities and contradictions, acting as a serial killer who kills serial killers. From this unusual approach when it comes to programs gender, we are interested in thinking about the relationship between the construction of this character classification values about good and evil shared by common sense and the forms of representation that they take the world of contemporary media culture.
