Abstract

Digital technology allows audiovisual news content and formats to be accessed through a variety of devices and platforms on different screens. The greater participation of the audience is one of the most important features of the processes of production and consumption of news in contemporary times, which does not always generate more diverse representations of the various events. However, TV news still exerts a centrality in the media discourse. This article seeks to identify the interactions between television and the Internet in the media environment where Jornal Nacional is inserted, check the current language characteristics of the audiovisual journalistic narratives and understand how the relations with the public are established in the experience of participatory culture enhanced by convergence, from the televisual analysis of the coverage of the June Protests ( in Brazil) of the country's wider audience TV News. It is supported by the contributions of the theories of communication and based on journalism studies and reception.
